I am pleased with this purchase. I find that the 3D is a unique experience. Most people rarely get the chance to experience how the 3D works while at home, my set came with 3D Active Glasses that communicate wirelessly with the C7000 HDTV. These glasses are special liquid-crystal lenses. They block out the left or right lens in coordination with the frames flashing on-screen. So,the right eye sees only the "version" of the movie intended for the right eye, and the left eye only sees its version. Anyway, watching tv at home is a groovy experience. In just a few years we are going to watch holograms. I am confused how Skype or internet@homeTV works. It seems like it takes too long to load. I didn't get to successfully watch HULU yet, I think I will get the hang of it. Hopefully, maybe a new app changes this. I am waiting for the iPad delivery so I can watch HULU around the house. If you purchase this item make sure that you outfit it with the very best. I purchased a expensive Monster 3D HDMI cable and I suggest that you do the same. I actually didn't want to after I saw how much I was spending on this purchase but then I was talked into it because I had the 3D TV and the 3D blu ray so I said what the hell I might as well get the 3D HDMI. Boy am I glad I spent the extra money for the cable. Just watching normal blu ray DVD's, the picture quality is so life like it is ridiculous. When watching a 3D DVD it was so awesome to be able to see the items popping out of the TV. Also the ability to up-convert 2D DVD's to 3D was so awesome. I popped in the 300 blu ray DVD and up-converted it to 3D and it was still pretty awesome. I enjoyed every minute of it.

The only thing that I would suggest with a 3D TV purchase is to make sure that your couch is back far enough to get a clear picture. If you are to close to the TV you will see the double vision but if you are back far enough it will be gone.

Got this set a week ago, its the third Samsung LED in the house (but the first 3D). Hung it on the wall, and immediately noticed a red line stretching from the top of the picture to the bottom, regardless of which input you use. Obviously not pleased, but I understand these things can happen. I've read the horror stories about Samsung customer service. I just called to log my issue. So far, so good. Ignoring the red line for a moment, the picture quality is excellent. The set is incredibly thin and light. Assuming the outcome of the customer service experience is favorable, this rating will go up to 5.

Only gave it a four since this is my first large tv, but am very pleased with it. My biggest concern was not having to buy additional eqpt such as a sound system (next xmas). The sound was better than expected based on other reviews of other TVs that scared my decision process along with features. The sound is just as good as any stereo TV I have had, the volume can be quite loud without losing quality, and the in-tv surround does add a little upgrade when watching DVDs. I did spring for a cheap HDTV DVD player and yes indeed there is a difference as to picture quality. Almost bought a 52" and glad I didn't would have been too big for the space. LR was 18'X 22. For the price 00 including inside delivery cannot complain. If you are going to mount on wall do buy the swivel ($$$) as you don't want to have to take the tv down just to hook things up. Most tv's are rear connections.

p.s Do not use mount kit bolts unless they are graded and not cheap knock offs. Mine snapped and had to start all over.

After about 18 months during which the TV worked perfectly, the on/off switch stopped working. Knowing that my one year warranty had expired, I expected to have to call in a repair technician. Prior to doing this, I decided to call Samsung to see if they had any insight to what the problem might be. Without having to go through interminable menus I was able to speak with a knowledgable customer service representative right away (right here in America) who was quickly able to identify the probable cause of my problem as a failed capacitor. Apparently other customers had had similar problems.

The customer service representative offered to have one of their technicians come to my home and replace the capacitor at no cost to myself. The technician arrived as scheduled and fixed the problem immediately.

I write this because I have seen some negative reviews about Samsung's customer service: one review even mentioned the same capacitor issue and stated that Samsung would do nothing about it. My experience was quite the opposite. Inasmuch as my warranty expired I was expecting to have to pay for the repair; but because Samsung realized that the problem was not mine alone they offered to repair it for free. The whole thing was handled very professionally from beginning to end. I rate the TV four stars instead of five only because of the capacitor issue.

Well, past few years I have been a Samsung fan of their ability to be at the forefront of new technology in viewing entertainment. Their quality control issues need to be remedied and leaves ALOT to be desired. I bought my first one online from a large and reputable seller and came to me in a box that looked descent only to find vertical lines in the picture (which samsung has a serious problem with) I sent back that one but I still wanted this tv and I was stuck on getting it. So I bought mine from Amazon here not long after they came out. Box looked good and operated fine UNTIL NOW!

This television was never disturbed since it was mounted, never dropped and used mostly with standard analog cable and some blu-ray and used in a controlled environment.

Unbelievable, I stand by Samsung still on the forefront of viewing technology BUT, and this is a big butt. They have quality issues as you will find around on the internets. This television was an investment to last and apparently Samsung doesn't last with my experience and many ppl on AV forums. Now maybe I should have got extended warranty? Should that be considered a must nowadays? With the poor components and testing that they seem to be doing?

I am looking across from my computer monitor right now at a black screen and sound. A 1,600.00 dollar sound machine.

I am thinking there is better fish in the water elsewhere, all done with sammy.

This is a great all around TV that I am very pleased with. Pitch black dark, excellent color reproduction and saturation, handles HDTV broadcasts, Blu-ray, and standard def broadcasts all well, and a good remote. It is also an energy star TV and the EPA website rates it at 155 watts when on and 0.5 watts in standby.

The Sharp has all the features you would expect on the remote including some very advanced ones. They are all laid out well. The main buttons you will use are input, AV mode, view mode (dot by dot, stretching, etc.), and menu. Menu lets you set the different values for AV mode as well as accessing more advanced features like color hue. AV mode is the Sharp way to optimize viewing of movies, games, PC input, sports, etc. The only downside I have found so far on the TV is that I do not really like the standard and movie settings. I easily created a combination of settings on the user option that works for me for both TV broadcasts and movies. The game mode works excellent with my PS3 and it automatically goes into game mode when I select the PS3 in input and then back to whatever mode I had it on when I select my cable broadcast input. It also comes up with some handy and unobtrusive 30 minute time stamps for when you started using the PS3 input.

I especially like the very decent picture with stations still broadcasting in standard definition and the fact that it is Energy Star. Besides the fact that the standard and movie settings did not work particularly well for the room I have it in, the sound is also just so-so. But I have it hooked up to a sound system so that is moot. I would also like to mention the Sharp website and the owner's manual both say that this is a 4ms TV not 6ms you see in the description. At any rate I am very pleased with the sharp, crisp picture, easy to use remote, easy to access picture options, and versatility going from HD to standard to PS3 to movies to sports.

I picked up this TV two weeks ago and am considering returning it. Here is my summary:

Pros:

1. Clear Display in PC Mode
2. Sharp Colors, Nice Blacks
3. Nice Look
4. Great pic with Blu-Ray

Cons:

1. Cheap Remote (not a big deal, I will use universal anyway)
2. Sound quality is mediocre at best.
3. Television picture gets quite granular at times even with HD.

My primary issue is that after close examination of the picture over a couple of weeks, I have noticed problems in HD. Backgrounds often look granular clearly showing the pixels. There is a low light dimming feature that dims the display automatically in low light, but it flickers. If you turn it off, you don't get the power savings advertised. I did not notice this at the store because they play canned videos to make the TVs look their best.

At the price north of 00, the value is just not there on this unit.

(See update below) Bought this tv about 18 months ago, and we LOVED it - everything about it was excellent... until... about three-four weeks ago, when we'd turn it on, it would click and click ... finally turn on. Initially the clicking lasted only 5 -10 seconds.

Now it's up to a minute and we fully expect that soon it will simply stop. Until we have a fix, we're leaving it ON, with the cable box turned off. But as I see from other reviews, Samsung will NOT acknowledge that there is a problem, and if you want it fixed, it's around 500 dollars. That's unacceptable.

I am going to try and get Samsung to repair this and will post an update should I manage it. Otherwise, just assume that they won't do a thing.

*****UPDATE*****: AFter posting this review, I decided to chat with SAMSUNG online... when I explained the issue, even though we are out of warranty, they told me that IF the capacitor was the problem, which it sounded like it was, they would take care of it. They set up an in-home repair, and the next day the repair company called to make an appointment. The technician just left and the problem is gone. He said this IS common, and that Samsung has only recently decided to cover it... even last November it would not have been covered. So, if you have this problem, DO CONTACT Samsung. He also told me that Samsung has changed the product and claims the problem is fixed with the new capacitor. He also showed me the physical evidence on the top of my capacitor, where rather than flat, it was bulging out at the top, which he said was all the evidence he needed to identify the problem and fix it.

I have revised my STARS back to 5 on everything, since other than this problem, we have never had any other issues with it and love the TV.

I have owned this item for 16 months. It performed as well as any TV I ever owned. About 6 months ago it started making a clicking sound when I first turned on. It took longer and longer to come on. Eventually it stopped working. I did a little searching on line, and found thousands of others had the same problem. It seems most of Samsung's large screen TVs have inadequate voltage ratings for capacitors on their power supply board. Samsung will stonewall you and ignore that this problem exists. Only a class action will get any results. Don't buy this TV, or any other Samsung LCD unless you want a 0 repair bill one year from now. Personally, I will never buy Samsung again.

It is impresive as soon as you plugin and watch TV on it, it is outstanding, since the picture quality is not compared to my 720p former Sharp LCD screen... I have PS3 and a Sony HT, and they interact really good, as well as the remote controls, they TV's work with the PS3.
The games with the Motion Flow, as well as Bluray movies are out of this world, the movies look so good that it seems that you are watching through a window than a TV screen. It looks so good that you can see special effects flaws and details not seen on my other TV.
The PS3 resolution changed like 200% better with the sony, and the motion flow helps a lot when changing scenes on a fast action game.
I updated the firmware connecting it to my router at home, it was simple, and the internet features as the gadgets, YOUTUBE, are ratter awesome, it is a huge leap on tv functionalities not present on the past.
I have windows 7 on my computer and I have no problem on viewing my pictures from my tv! as well as listening to the music and watching video files as well!
I did alter some of the custom settings on the screen and the image is nothing compared as any other TV screens on the market.

Both non HD and HD programming looks stunning. I compared this unit in the store to Plasmas and LCD's and I also compared this TV to other brands like Sony and this TV absoloutly is awesome. I have it connected to my surround sound Infinity speaker system and my Harmon Kardon receiver which I think most people who purchase a TV like this would not use the TV's built-in speaker system. DVD's play crystal clear as well, as a matter of fact non-HD DVD's look flawless. The set-up was very simple and the ease of use is fantastic! Could it be better? I guess but it certainly is not difficult. I do plan on purchasing another Samsung DLP HDTV in the future. Samsung TV's are miles ahead of the competition in my opinion.

I purchased the 46" DLP exactly 2 years and a month ago. 18 months or so after purchase the unit started shutting off by itself with the red lamp light flashing inconsistent times. On some nights it will barely stay on while it can go weeks without an incident. Again, very inconsistent. Called Samsung and the rep on the phone said "Sorry but that is not a known issue and you are out of warranty."

Anyways, it's a shame this problem is so common and deal breaking, because the picture itself is magnificent. I will not be purchasing another Samsung product after this mess.

I purchased this TV on Black Friday from the Navy Exchange for 800 buck no tax.... To me for the price I paid it is a great tv.

Pro:
Great TV for the price and a VERY Good Picture

Con:
The only real issue I have ever had is the same one everyone seems to have were devices connected via any other method than HDMI suffer from black out in which the TV loses sync for a second or two. It was really bad on the XBox until I switched to an HDMI cable and I havnt suffered this problem since.
